Brahmos Missile: Indian Air Force Tuesday successfully testfired air version of supersonic cruise missile Brahmos from its frontline fighter bomber Sukhoi 30 MKI aircraft. Mating of Brahmos missile, jointly developed by India and Russia, with Sukhoi will act as a potent force multiplier for the country.
Brahmos Missile has a range of 300 kilometers and it can carry all kind of warheads. The missile is highly manuverable and can evade enemy defence to destroy the target with pinpoint accuracy.

“The launch from the aircraft was smooth & the missile followed the desired trajectory before directly hitting the land target,” Indian Air Force said in a statement.
BrahMos provides IAF the capability to strike from large stand-off ranges on any target at sea or on land with pinpoint accuracy by day or night in any weather condition.
“Brahmos coupled with the superlative performance of Su-30MKI gives IAF the desired strategic reach,” said the force.
India has already developed naval and land version of this lethal missile, and successful testing of its aerial version will act as a strong deterrent for its adversaries.
