Kelly Horan Succeeds Kim Kinsley at IAE International Aero Engines: EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (June 13, 2024) – IAE International Aero Engines AG (IAE), a multinational consortium comprised of shareholders including RTX’s Pratt & Whitney, Pratt & Whitney Aero Engines International GmbH, Japanese Aero Engines Corporation, and MTU Aero Engines AG, has announced the appointment of Kelly Horan as its new president. Horan succeeds Kim Kinsley, who held the position since June 2023.

Earlier this year, Horan was named vice president of V2500 programs at Pratt & Whitney, and she will now serve in both roles concurrently.

Kim Kinsley, the outgoing president, will transition to the role of chairperson of the IAE board of directors. She will continue to serve as vice president of Mature Commercial Engines at Pratt & Whitney, a position she has held since January 2024. Kinsley’s focus will remain on developing strategies and execution plans to support customers, extend product life, and maximize the value realized from the business’ mature commercial engines portfolio.

In a statement, Kinsley expressed confidence in Horan’s leadership abilities: “Kelly is a proven leader with the right skillset to lead IAE into its next chapter. She is well positioned to serve customers by delivering flexible offerings for the narrowbody segment and supporting the growing customer base of the Embraer C-390 Millennium military aircraft. “Kelly was passionate about building high-performing teams, developing talent, championing diversity and inclusion, and collaborating cross-functionally. Under her leadership, IAE will continue delivering the proven performance that V2500 customers have come to expect.”

As president, Kelly Horan will lead the integrated program structure to support the IAE V2500 program, ensuring that financial, business, technical, customer, and partner commitments are achieved.

She brings more than 25 years of experience in engineering, supply chain and commercial aftermarket to this role. She most recently served as vice president of Aftermarket, Mature Commercial Engines at Pratt & Whitney.

IAE International Aero Engines

IAE, established in 1983, has a collaboration agreement extension to 2045. The versatile V2500 powers nearly 3,000 aircraft today for more than 170 commercial, cargo and military operators in 80 countries.

According to the statement, more than 7,800 V2500 engines have been produced, collectively powering more than 140 million flights and more than 275 million engine flight hours.

The engine also powers the Embraer C-390 Millennium military aircraft and its growing customer base.
