Airbus A400M Transport Aircraft for Kazakhstan: Almaty, Kazakhstan – Airbus Defence and Space has marked a significant milestone in Kazakhstan’s military modernization efforts by delivering the first Airbus A400M transport aircraft. This strategic acquisition will significantly enhance the country’s tactical and strategic airlift capabilities.

The delivery ceremony, held in Almaty, South Kazakhstan, followed a ferry flight from Airbus’ A400M Final Assembly Line in Seville, Spain. This inaugural A400M, production number MSN139, is the first of two ordered by the Republic of Kazakhstan. The second aircraft is currently under production and scheduled for delivery in 2026.

A Game-Changer for Kazakhstan’s Air Force

“Proven for over a decade in military and humanitarian operations worldwide, the A400M is a game-changer for the Kazakh Air Defense Forces, delivering unrivalled tactical and strategic capabilities in a single platform,” said Jean-Brice Dumont, Head of Air Power at Airbus Defence and Space. “A second A400M, currently in production, will further strengthen these capabilities on its delivery in 2026.”
