Elbit Systems’ High Power Laser for Iron Beam: Haifa, Israel – Elbit Systems Ltd., a leading global defense technology company, announced today that it has been awarded a substantial $200 million contract by the Israeli Ministry of Defense (IMOD) to supply high-power laser systems for the Iron Beam air defense system.

This significant contract underscores the growing importance of laser technology in modern warfare. The Iron Beam system, which is currently under development, is designed to intercept and neutralize a wide range of threats, including rockets, mortars, and drones. Elbit Systems’ high-power laser solution will be a critical component of this advanced defense system.
