Bengaluru based private sector defence manufacturer Dynamatic Technologies Monday delivered a key component, a front fuselage with a refuelling probe, for India’s home grown light combat aircraft LCA Tejas to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). This is the first time a complex fuselage section for the Tejas fighter has been delivered by private defence company.
In order to take advantage of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s bid to push for greater indigenisation of defence manufacturing in the country, Pinarayi Vijayan government in Kerala is set to launch first dedicated defence park in Palakkad district of the state.
Tata Power Company Limited has completed the sale of its defence business to Tata Advanced Systems Ltd (TASL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Private Limited. Tata Power is expected to receive an enterprise value of Rs 1,076 crore as upfront payment, Rs 1,040 crore as per agreements, which were revised in line with closing adjustments.
