Rafael Advanced Defense Systems: Israel’s leading defence major Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Limited has appointed Brigadier General Moshe Lipel (retd) as Executive Vice President of Finance and Control. He will replace David Vaish who is retiring after 15 years as the company’s CFO, said the company.
“Development of Enhanced Pinaka system was taken up to achieve longer range performance compared to an earlier design with a reduced length,” the defence ministry said. The design and development of this advanced version of Pinaka rocket system has been carried out by Pune based DRDO laboratories, namely Armament Research and Development Establishment (ARDE) and High Energy Materials Research Laboratory (HEMRL).
Indian Air Force has received three more Rafale fighter jets at Jamnagar airbase located in western state of Gujarat near Pakistan border on Wednesday. These three Rafale jets arrived at the airbase after a non-stop 8 hour long flight as they were refuelled thrice by the air-tankers of French air force on their way to India.
