Elbit Systems wins NATO country order for EW-DIRCM Suites: Haifa, Israel – Elbit Systems Ltd., a leading global high-technology company, announced today that it has been awarded substantial contracts valued at approximately $175 million to supply state-of-the-art Electronic Warfare (EW) and Directed Infrared Countermeasure (DIRCM) Self-Protection Suites to a NATO European country. The contracts, spanning a five-year period, will equip a fleet of Embraer C-390 Millennium aircraft and Airbus H225M helicopters with advanced defense capabilities.
A Comprehensive Self-Protection Solution

Infrared Missile Warning System (MWS): Detects and tracks incoming infrared missiles, allowing for timely countermeasures.
Laser Warning System (LWS): Detects and warns of laser threats, such as laser rangefinders and laser designators.
Countermeasure Dispenser System (CMDS): Dispense countermeasures, such as flares and chaff, to deceive and defeat incoming threats.
MUSIC DIRCM System: Actively jams incoming infrared missiles, protecting the aircraft from attack.
Expanding Global Footprint
In addition to the contracts for the NATO European country, Elbit Systems has secured additional agreements for its advanced EW suites. A separate European country has contracted for the SPEAR Advanced ECM (AECM) Pod, a highly versatile pod that can be easily installed and transferred between aircraft on the flight line.
