Diehl Defence BAAINBw Ammunition Order: Coblenz, Germany – July 11, 2024: Diehl Defence, a leading German defence contractor, has secured a landmark agreement with the German Armed Forces for the production and delivery of 155mm artillery projectiles. This marks the largest ever ammunition order for Diehl Defence, solidifying their position as a key supplier for the German military and its allies.
The agreement comes as an expansion of a framework contract signed in 2023 between Diehl Defence and Norwegian company Nammo, forming the ARGE DiNa 155mm industrial working group. This partnership combines German manufacturing expertise with cutting-edge Nordic technology to deliver high-performance ammunition.
The signing ceremony, held on July 9th in Coblenz, saw Helmut Rauch, CEO of Diehl Defence, and Vegard Sande, Executive Vice President of Nammo, formalize the deal with Annette Lehnigk-Emden, President of the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw).
