AIP Plug for Enhanced Endurance

The AIP technology, a crucial development by DRDO, aims to significantly increase the underwater endurance of conventional submarines by reducing their reliance on atmospheric oxygen. This technology will play a vital role in enhancing the operational capabilities of the Indian Navy. The construction and integration of the AIP Plug will contribute significantly to the government’s ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative by promoting indigenous defence manufacturing. The project is expected to generate employment for nearly three lakh man-days.
